Julia Shew Memorial OBC Scholarship Fund

The Occoquan Boat Club (OBC) will once again have a limited number of scholarships from this year's Julia Shew Memorial Rowing Scholarship Fund. The scholarships are for crew athletes who may find the cost of rowing to be a financial hardship, especially those who are on the free or reduced lunch program (your recommendations confirming the free lunch status is important in our selection process).

This scholarship has been made possible by the proceeds of our annual Occoquan Memorial Regatta, held in July and supported with additional funds from OBC. I have attached the application and it is posted on our website (www.rowobc.org) under "Scholarships."

The deadline for receipt of the completed hard copy package is Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 8:00 pm. Please note that there is a required recommendation from the coach and at least one of the Crew Booster President and/or the Athletic Director certifying the financial hardship of the applicant.
